Artwise Visual Arts 7–10 for the Australian Curriculum offers integrated units within an overall thematic framework, providing a balance between the strands of Making and Responding in the Australian Curriculum: The Arts. This balance is achieved by presenting a range of Making tasks that use step-by-step instructions to guide students through their own creative process. Sample student works and a wide range of works and practices from recognised artists allow students to investigate art-making skills, techniques and processes to find their own inspiration. The Responding tasks allow students to describe and analyse the practices and viewpoints offered by the art works, using the visual language of representation and visual devices.
