This book provides the reader with a modern, up-to-date reference on the physics and technology of superconducting magnets in a period of significant advancement in this area. The main feature of the book is the combination of superconductivity, electromagnetic field theory, and the thermodynamics of helium cooling on the one hand with the technological aspects of high performance superconducting materials and mechanical engineering on the other hand.
