About the author

Growing up in a small country town, Bernadette learnt the art of storytelling by sitting at kitchen tables listening to tall tales. When she was old enough, she tried it out for herself and then thought what if I wrote this into a book?

This led to some accomplishments including being longlisted for the Richell Award and winning the Romance Writers of Australia RUBY Award.

Bernadette now lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband, three kids and a dog and tells tall tales at her own kitchen table.
